New Management at Overlook Mansion Introduces Yuletide Dinner Event

Mansion1Little Falls, NY – New managers Michael and Margaret Robertson are pleased to announce the first ever Yuletide Dinner at the D.H. Burrell Overlook Mansion to be held on Thursday, December 10, 2015 from 6pm until 8pm, in conjunction with activities celebrating Christmas in Little Falls. The dinner will be a Farm to Table event, with all items coming from local farms or businesses. It will also be a fowl event, featuring roast goose, turkey, and duck on the menu. Other menu items include sweet potatoes, roasted fingerling potatoes, seasonal vegetables, fall salad greens, locally ground coffee, apple crisp, pumpkin pie, and locally made gelato.

The evening will begin with wine and cheese tasting at 6pm with a buffet dinner will follow at 6:30pm. A choral presentation of seasonal music will conclude the evening, beginning at 7:30pm. This will be the kickoff event for Christmas in Little Falls, which will culminate Saturday, December 12, 2015. Products from Lamb’s Ear Acres, Jones Family Farm, Bouchard Farm II, Gaia’s Breath Farm, and others will be featured. 

Michael and Margaret Robertson formerly had a greenhouse operation and produce farmMansion3 (M&M Robertson Farms, LLC) in western Pennsylvania. They moved to the area this past summer with their two children, ages 7 and 10, and took over operations at the Overlook in mid-October of this year. The family has found Little Falls to be a wonderful community and looks forward to being a part of it for years to come.

Margaret noted “Leaving our farm after 17 years has been quite a change, but having such a stellar venue for Farm to Table dinners is a tremendous opportunity to work from the other side of the local foods system.” Michael added “We are pleased to be showcasing local farms for our inaugural event, and look forward to doing many more events with the community in the future.”Mansion2
