Jacobs Media Techsurvey 2018 Data Nugget: Listeners Believe Contests Are Legit, Get The Full Story At WWRS 2018

Fred Has Must-Know Facts About Your Listeners For You

JACOBS MEDIA’s TECHSURVEY 2018, which will have its debut at the upcoming WORLDWIDE RADIO SUMMIT 2018 at NOON on THURSDAY, MAY 3rd, consists of more than 64,000 respondents representing well more than 500 radio stations across NORTH AMERICA.

The surveys were completed in JANUARY and FEBRUARY. THE JACOBS MEDIA team has been busily compiling the data and searching for new insights. Here’s a sneak peek at one of the key data points from the study:

Most Believe Radio Contests Are On The Level

JACOBS MEDIA Pres. FRED JACOBS, who will present TECHSURVEY 2018 at WWRS 2018, commented, “We put radio contest credibility to the test – and stations fared well.  Even a negatively worded statement produced a resounding response that radio giveaways produce real winners.”

This year’s JACOBS TECHSURVEY, sponsored by CAPITOL RECORDS, doesn’t just cover digital media and gadgets.  The study provides radio programmers with data to help them navigate the everyday questions they grapple with.

JACOBS concluded, “Most PDs rely on contesting in both diary and meter markets.  Our massive survey confirms that the large majority of radio users find them to be believable and credible.

We’ll roll out the full presentation at the WORLDWIDE RADIO SUMMIT 2018 in HOLLYWOOD MAY 2, 3, and 4 with the TECHSURVEY 2018 reveal on MAY 3rd at noon. You can register for WWRS 2018, here. Hope to see you there.”
