The witness who recorded a graphic video of a white South Carolina police officer gunning down a fleeing black man spoke out for the first time today in an interview with NBC News. Feidin Santana’s roughly four minutes of footage provided the clinching evidence that led authorities to charge North Charleston Police Officer Michael Slager, 33, with the murder of 50-year-old Walter Scott on Tuesday. Slager stopped Scott for a broken taillight on Saturday morning, then shot him to death after what Slager claimed was a struggle over his stun-gun.
